We noticed this graphic from an American company whilst we were performing our routine research. As many UK pilots use their service we thought it was important to get in contact with the company to discuss the issue.
The language and definitions are set WORLDWIDE by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). They must not be allowed to be adjusted by those with a poor knowledge base.
To their enormous credit though the Company CEO has had the erroneous graphic corrected. We need to keep doing this kind of correction so that drone pilots the World over can rate highly in the opinions of those controlling manned aviation. Without this kind of effort we cannot make it to the next level. We must keep battling to improve the quality of all organisations within drone flying.
Here is their corrected version, thank you once again for being great and accepting input Airdata!
This is our version from our courseware explaining the terms.
